Default KO receiver antenna issue

I have broken a bit off the antenna on my receiver KR 408S and am not sure if this is going to have some adverse effect. It is a 2.4G unit. Anyone had the same problem?

Thank you. Do you know what the original length of the aerial was or if KO have replacement aerials they sell?

just an fyi. I ask robert about the antenna on the 408. the antenna is actually the end of the wire. that part that only has a clear plastic around it. it should still work. but I would replace it. KO sells those antenna wire. you just pop the rx open and it is a little plug. i usually carry a couple of new one in my pit bag. i would not strip anything. just leave it the way to have it. it should work in a pinch and replace it when you can

i am not sure if it is a user replaceable part of if it a support part. I just call up Robert at KO America and get him to send me 6 at a time. i don't even know the cost. I never ask. lol

Just go to KO's site and loook for it on replacement parts. I am betting it shows up there. I just ordered some servo cases for servos that the top of the case was wore out, so I am sure you could get an antenna wire for your receiver.

If the antenna is shorter, you will lose range. Replacement antennas are available through the shopatron link on our site. Just go to receiver -> parts.
