Default Indoor carpet Track questions

hey guys,

we are thinking of building an indoor carpet track for 1/12 and maybe 1/10,
i would like to know what space i should have for a 1/10 track?? whats a good size, not too big and not too small, for 1/12, i was thinking 30 by 15 meters (100 by 45 feet) would that be enough for 1/10 or a bit small??

whats an average straight line length for 1/10 electric??
any tips and advices are highly appreciated

cheers

Ali

100' x 45' is big by most standards. Most tracks in the midwest are 80'ish by 40'ish.

Both.

A 100'x45' track is cabable of hosting a whole variety of events. The IIC in Las Vegas runs on a track that is 100'x50', so this would be a great starting point for a new carpet track.

Hey Danny,

thanks for the answer, great to hear so, since am in charge of onroad racing here, ill have to come up with a small drawing of the whole building from A to Z, i aint no engineer but i like drawing so ill try my best, ill post photos of what i have in mind, just few more questions for people who have raced indoor.
indoor track requierments (sorry for the spelling) ??
1- space
2- carpet (what type) knowing that am in Kuwait so no race carpets are available here.
3- racers stand (was thinking 2.5 to 3 meters high) and 10 meters wide
4-control room
5- work area with tables and 240V elec
6- tire trueing place
7- seats for spectators
8- WC
9- cafetiria

if you guys have anything else in mind, dont hesitate

cheers

Ali
