While the Xenon tape looks cool-as-hell, it doesn't seem to be reusable, as the adhesive does separate from the backing (at least on the roll I got). Oddly enough, the $3, 3M glass fiber tape from Home Depot doesn't have that problem.

Yes, I run about 1 degree toe-out on the car for carpet indoors, works great.

I also use the more aggressive steering on the knuckles.

I'm running the Xray now but still have my Evo4. My Evo is pretty dialed and made a great mod carpet car. I am considering setting up the Evo for a stock car.

Took a little bit but I used the "search this thread" option.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...er#post1199825

I have not run the car in a bit but IIRC I changed a couple of small things since that setup that were improvements. Namely, blue swaybar (hard) on the front and yellow (medium) in the rear. I also recall going to AE yellow front springs and and AE red rears because the bite got plenty high and the track was smooth enough.

Where I have "droop" mentioned, I really mean "downstops" as measured with aluminum step blocks. The actual droop or uptravel measured is roughly 1mm in the front and 2mm in the rear. This makes the car transition and change direction very quickly.

Warning, this is only a carpet foam setup and won't work for pavement.

Thanks for the link!

We were going to try running 19T Rubber tire on carpet...

Any setup tips for this kind of racing?

Stick with the 1mm/2mm droop/uptravel and the roll centers will have to come down (not sure how much off the top of my head). Try removing the spacers under the rear blocks from my setup. For springs the softer purple/blue might be a better bet, and give it a bit more toe in the rear and you should be somewhat close.
