NEED alloy drive cups front + rear
Why do you need alloy drive cups at the front?

The stock ones are hardened steel?

No point going lighter/weaker when the car is already underweight???

I don't mean lightweight swing shafts. I mean the alloy drive cups, for where the Driveshaft connects to the front prop shaft + Rear prop shaft. Really, this is what you need:

53785 TB EVOLUTION 4 ALUMINUM CENTER CUP
53786 TB EVOLUTION 4 ALUMINUM ONE-PIECE FRONT CENTER CUP JOINT

The Center Cup is for the Rear Prop Joint and the Front Center Cup Joint is the lightened front prop joint + alloy cup combined.

Both these parts are MUSTS as the plastic just falls apart in a smash.

Ah you mean the input cups that drive the bevel gear as opposed to the output cups that drive the swing shafts...

Sorry your post was not clear, now I understand..

Our track runs what they call a house class. It is any touring car, any body, Tamiya Type A tires and the stock silver can motor. This calss is taking off since you can run any car you like and it is a nice compromise for guys that are not quite up to speed in stock but want to run a cool car. It is fairly a cheap class to run as well. Works out well at our track.

PIIHB! glad you got they one way working. Your car will be better the next time you run the house class with the one way in.

Hey Randy,
Definitely give the Evo4 a shot. I drove it for the first time last weekend and it had crazy steering compared to my 415. There is so much potoential in this chassis.

ahh... i get it now. we had a class like this at the local parking lot track a few months back. The only thing we spec'ed out was the motor. We had the following cars running..

X-Ray T1FK
415
EvoIV
Pro4
SD/CGM

it was really fun. but not fast enough for some

Lots of steering is nice especially if you have good rear traction.

hi guys i've ordered my new evo 4 kit

was just wondering if you guys can tell me which parts i need extra when building the kit.

i know simon has those plastic clear gear covers! do they come in the box ?

so far i've only added the 950 bearings as extras.

thanks in advance guys

Guys i'm alittle confused...

If I want to get aluminum suspension mount sets a ~ x do I need to get a pair of each for front and back?

Also is the tamiya front ONE piece center cup joint worth getting? Or will it cause more stress and break stuff under impact?

Aluminum one way ring gear a good mod?

Lastly, how many 950 bearings should I buy as spare?

Thx!

G
