The IIC track is a pretty good size track (slight bigger than birds usually) and the smoothest track you'll run on! Youll enjoy it!

I believe IIC is 96ft x 48ft. Good size for indoor carpet racing.

Fastest lap last year in TC 13.5 was around 10.7.

Those pictures were of TQ's raceway's simulation of the layout. It's really not that close to the same. The IIC layout is MUCH more wide open. Nash has some good photos and video on his RC50.com site.

Just talked to Scotty, he is covered up trying to get ready for Vegas and working on his track. He said to let everyone know he will be on later to answer questions, but it will probably be after midnight before he has a chance to get on.

Here's one of the panoramas we used from IIC '09 when trying to duplicate the layout on our track. If that doesn't make you eager to race, nothing will.

You can tell that's before we ran on it. No groove yet.

Hello everyone,

things are rolling along for us on the IIC team and we are all very excited to get to Vegas. Looks like we are going to have a good turnout for the poker tournament and we will have our own IIC Poker bracelet for the winner.

BJS: Yes we know Farve is back in MN Thanks for the update. Even a bad practice day is better than no practice.

Syndrome: Yes we will be using the 3 consecutive lap process as last year, It really balanced things out and made for great qualifying. We will do this in your final 2 practice runs. We will take the best 3 consecutive laps from either run which ever is faster.

Bowser: Great you are going to make it. yes we will be handing out Jack the Gripper as we do each year.

Aldente: The spec tire for WGT will what they used at the Nats a couple of weeks ago. It will include a yellow stripe. I spoke to Jaco today and they are having problems with the supplier that does the carbon fiber rim, so they cannot get those for some time now. So to make a spec tire, they are doing the yellow stripe on the tire. This is what we will be using for the IIC.
Spec rubber tire will be the Jaco Rubberz Blue. Same tire we have used for many years.

We are at the final day of Hotel room reservations, if you have not booked them, make the call. Once our block reservation date is gone, I have no power to get discounted rates.

We are all excited to get to Vegas as I know you guys are. Thanks for the years of support and lets have 1 more awesome Bash.

Thanks to all of you guys.
Scotty

Compound wise is the Jaco with the yellow stripe the same as the lilac on the carbon fiber as last year? I still have a few sets in good shape from last year that I want to use for practice but if the compound is different I'll need all new tires.

I had a practice set of the new yellow banded tires the weekend before the Nats and had a fair amount of time on them. With the new tires, I was about .5 seconds slower than I had been for the three previous race weeks.

We seriously tested the two Jaco WGT compounds at the Paved Nats. It is obvious that the yellow banded tires were not as fast as the old ones on the carbon fiber wheels. I assume that this was ROAR's reason for not allowing the carbon fiber wheeled tires for either qualifying or racing. Some did use the old ones for practice; but, were decidedly slower when they switched.

The new yellow foam compound itself is waaaaaaay too soft. In my mind, Jaco should make the yellow band as narrow as possible to improve the overall performance of their WGT spec tires. More black pleeeeze!

Bill
