Best of luck on a great event courtesy of a great man who is doing more right for RC than most anyone in the hobby. He should be the organizing body for the hobby, as he is already the voice...

Default Limited profile on the AE BD

I have just had my BDiamond up graded. Limited profile is profile 1, as well as the normal green diode there is an addtional blue diode which flashes to indicate limited profile.
Car is slow with 17.5 in a 1/12th I first thought i had put a flat cell in my car. You can drive round for the entire 8 mins with full power .So in effect its a steering job.
Maybe cranking the motor timing way up and some silly rollout will improve speed .Testing in progress.

Default AE BD upgraded

You have to send it back to AE , time it takes is how long is the post both ways. I got mine back in 3 days from them receiving it. There is no charge for the service only the postage.
Unless you plan to use limited profile i wouldnt bother. Latest software is v2.1.

I went to the snowbirds this year and managed all my stuff in in one bag.

Too ship your stuff one way on DHL its approx 120 .Im contemplating shippping my gear back home as i plan to stay in USA for 3 weeks and will be a bind lugging the stuff around for 3 weeks.
Made a note that it is no longer just Virgin that fly to Vegas direct

I managed to get my World GT kit down to 15kg last year, and that included racing t-shirts. I thought this was the cunning choice of a control tyre class, but I've since got a Touring Car bag down to a similar weight. I needed to be brutal with what I left behind.

The only thing I couldn't take was a Tyre Truer. Only needed it once, and Scotty was good enough to hook another UK racer and I up with an IIC racer prepared to share theirs.

As we were travelling on for a few weeks, I shipped my kit back to the UK. There is a UPS shipping point in the Riviera Business Centre just up the corridon from the ballroom. Thay also had a box and tape available, and I the guys pitting near me couldn't believe how much kit could fit into that box!

Failing that it would be hand luggage (seen it done before!)

Unfortunately I cannot make this year's IIC Trust me if I didn't have a prior commitment in the UK for finals day, I'd be booked and ready to go already. Scotty and the crew put on an awesome meeting

Next year..!

Mark

Default Novak Race

Scotty, I know this is the IIC thread but is there a chance that you could hold the Novak Race off-site at a hotel or something in Wisconsin? Thanks for any info. I loved the Novak and loved getting out of the house in January! Chris
