Hi REDBULL:

Yes Naoto is planning on attending and running the new car. I spoke to the team and they are all looking forward to the IIC.

Thanks

checked for this year, still about 580-620 check on travelocity....

No real point flying BA.. They won't take you there directly... Virgin are the only ones who do.

[QUOTE=Big Daddy Boomer;7609183]I will be working on something. YouTube is cracking down on my type of videos. They have taken 1/2 of mine down so far.

By "my type" Boomer do they mean the type that gets us on their site repeatedly-- over and over and exposes us to the advertisers of their choosing.?

I think that stinks!

Boomer if you need to host a few videos, let me know and I can put them up on www.intchamps.com or www.ampdraw.com for you.

Scotty I completely dropped the ball on the email snafu, and reading this thread just reminded me. I'll try to have that fixed ASAP! Hope you had a good time in Germany!

I know you guys have a lot on your plate but when can we expect to know the "Limited Profile" ESC rules? I'd like to be able tune and plan future purchases.

Thanks

Why not ship your gear there a week ahead of time? That way you won't have to worry about hauling everything with you?

I looked into it last year but it really was a logistical nightmare, alot of the companies would take either the weight of the bag but grumble about the size or vice versa.

Tbh 20 kg is easily enough, just balance between putting the heavy stuff in hand luggage and clothes in race bag.
Suppose it depends how much gear you think you need, I ran 2 TC classes (with 2 cars) and did it no probs. But think with most airlines you can purchase extra bags.

Default Air travel from the Uk

Firstly BA do fly direct to Vegas, as thats what ive booked. Secondly they charge 60 return for an extra bag of 23kilos.
I went to the snowbirds this year and managed all my stuff in in one bag.

Too ship your stuff one way on DHL its approx 120 .Im contemplating shippping my gear back home as i plan to stay in USA for 3 weeks and will be a bind lugging the stuff around for 3 weeks.

Default Scotty what have you done

1/12th 17.5 limited profile on the Esc is so slow its not even fun. In the Uk our stock motor is 10.5 .
On a back to back trial the 17.5 was 6 laps slower than the 10.5. Like watching paint dry.
Might have to have a re-think on classes ive entered.

I couldn't agree more.
But this is almost exactly the same speed as 4 cell stock was back in the late 80's early 90's, and oddly enough the most packed class at Cleveland and the triple crown series.

What is the "limited profile" for the 17.5 12th? Where did you get the information?

On the iic website.... Under classes and rules...

Limited profile is going to be from a list of ESC's with the abilty to turn off the timing boost in the profile. A list will be available shortly

Yes, I know that. I was asking because it appears from the previous posts that at least a couple of people know what the "limited profile" is. Don't know how they're going to level the playing field given the number of possible ESC's and pre-programmed profiles for each one. Guess we'll see...

I agree, I would love to use my old LRP stock spec but I think just about everyone of the profiles above #3 has some form of boost. Even the " launch control is suspect. I think the new stock profile on the Tekin will be the ticket
