I think the side will be untouched and left as is. it's up to the individual to CA and/or radius the sides...

SSG chassis is not as stiff as the standard black CF. The metalic layer you see is more decorative...

Hi Super Steve, Zombies is correct on all counts- no Ti or Silver layer carbon at this time, we are using straight black quasi carbon for our "HTS" pro4 chassis.

rc_square, please send me an email when you get the chance if you haven't already ordered.

Thank guys!
Ben

Default Team PRP

do you do custom work?
wanted an Upper deck (3mm)for my Yokomo CGM special.

The regular upper deck for the Yokomo SD does not look good.
I think i need an upper deck to prevent busting the drive cup and one way gears, there are still some people stalling in the straights and hitting it at full throtttle is a pain in the pocket.

We can but "one-offs" are expensive for us to do, so the cost might be higher than you would like to pay for a single part. However, if several people want to order them with you then we can reduce the price of each part. Send me an email

Default One way plate

Good news, the one way plate is in machining as we speak and is still on schedule for a mid May release. Testing continues to go very well, with no gear breaks since installing it!

Hey Lem, did you send an email- I don't think I received it. thanks.

Default Chassis kit

Chassis kit testing has been going superb. Kevin is doing an awesome job.

Our Pro 4 "HTS" chassis kit will be coming out in early June. I should have the price ready within a week.

Thanks again!
Ben

Thanks Ben!!!

I will be testing the chassis on some asphalt here in the next couple weeks. Once on Foam tires and the other on Rubber tires just to see how well the chassis performs on both types of tires.

So far on Carpet with Foam tires this is a great addition to any Pro-4 owner that races on foam tires. The car is just super consistent for the whole 5 minute run....something that the stock chassis never really was. And the lap times have dropped about 3 tenths that coupled with the consistency has led to increased laps being added to a 5 minute run. I can tell anyone who is waiting for this chassis that it is worth the wait. The carbon work is TOP notch and this is just a proto....cant wait to see what a production one looks like!!!

Thanks again Ben hopefully I will have some good news for you over the weekend.

Kevin, I am anticipating your comments on the rubber tire test. We race on a very high bite concrete track and I would like to see the results of the chassis on the asphalt.

BTW, I was able to test some of PRP's new 3mm roll center plates on a slick outdoor track and with the added .5mm rear roll centers the car developed considerably more grip. I ran 2.5mm front roll centers and 3mm rear roll centers. Worked awesome!!!!! I would highly suggest anybody that runs on a slick outdoor track to get a set for their cars!! The fit was perfect as was the quality of carbon.
