I just need to say this one more time, The gear brace is awesome, I broke an input cup for the shaft after planting it into the wall, but the gears are still 100% after installing the brace.

Funny thing is, I was actually happy to break the cup just to show that it removes all my worries about the gears.

Default PRP Pro 4 Good for Asphalt?

Hi!

Would just like to know whether the Pro4 PRP chassis works well on asphalt. Or is it just designed for carpet tracks?

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

chckboy, thanks for the order! Aluminum makes for a better piece in this case because of the way it is designed to fit "into" the molded gear. Don't worry about the weight, it's very light!

gido, The chassis is very solid/rigid. With the right suspension tuning it should work on any surface but it is primarily designed for high traction. Kevin will actually be testing on asphalt in a week and a half.

Troy, awesome news once again! thank you!

Later!
Ben

Also if you guys can make a stiff Yokomo chassis cheaper than the Rayspeed conversion I bet you'd sell a bunch of those. A lot of people I know are wanting a stiff Yokomo chassis but they decide in the end to get a CGM kit due to the price of the Rayspeed kit.

You seem to read everyone's questions/appriciate the input so I'd figure I could help you out while I had your attention
I'm not so sure colored CF would move more product. I dislike the colored CF and other than the funky sparkly CF like the R3 uses, I stick with black. I'm not a hard core racer either, I just know what I like.

I dislike colored CF...I guess it's up to the racers to choose... SSG is more costly than regular CF. I don't think Blue SSG chasssis on a Pro4 will move more out the door... Blue and Purple don't mix. if it was a Purple SSG...than it's possible...but there is no Purple SSG available that I know of. Even if Purple was available...it would look ugly..too much Purple is bad for the eyes... I like the color contrast of the Purple against the black... the Blue SSG works on the Xray..'coz the car lacks any color... I had one and turned it blue.

Zombies, exactly

I'm not sure if he actually meant to make the chassis from blue, maybe he meant just some color in general. But I agree, since this car has purple accents, many of the current colors for carbon would just look silly.
