Are the edges of this chassis bevelled or do you have to file down the battery slots etc and edges?

The edges aren't bevelled, and yes, the battery slots do need filing down...

Stuff looks great! I am going to get a few Pro 4 items soon.

Doug has been unbeatable with his pro 4/PRP pieces. One of the reasons I switched to the pro 4.

Are the side pieces on the main deck more off a protection item or do they add to the chassis?

Thanks

Jeff

I think the side braces are primarily designed for protection, but I'm sure they will add quite a bit of stiffness to the chassis (I'll be able to tell you for sure in a couple of days)

They work great! I took a hit from behind on Sunday during pratice that I thought would have destroyed the rear tower. But no problems whasoever. The car was stopped off line since I had to marshall my own car, and as I walked back off the track a car nailed me from behind and knocked the right rear all the way up in front of the batteries. But the towr was just fine. They are tough, that's for sure.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments on the chassis kit!!!

About the Losi XXXS MT2 towers- they are in line for machining with my other projects so it shouldn't be much longer. I will be able to start taking orders for them either on Thursday or Friday of this week. Very sorry for the wait

I wasn't trying to rub anything in, I was just teasing. Good luck at the worlds. I wish I was going (or fast enough to go I should say)

Probably a few more days after England gets theirs. There are a few going to Europe as well. Let me know when you receive your order.

Thanks!

i got my chassis Monday. I got it sanded and glued, all mounted. It's great. Not to mention the extras that come with the chassis (spur plate, hinge pins) Thanks Ben!

I'm mounted mine and it looks great, the car is so stiff now! I haven't checked for tweak yet, but I can't imagine there is any as I could hardly tweak it with my hands, much stiffer than the standard chassis and top deck.

The even better thing is that the chassis only weighs about 5-10g more than the stock chassis, and the top deck is about 10g heavier, not much of a weight penalty for a very stiff chassis....I bet the BMI chassis can't beat that
