Default Tire sauce on clothes

Random question, I'm sure you've probably came across it in the past.

I've got a white DC hoody here, with a big black mark from tire sauce (Much More Sweep if it matters). It turned out that through handling the car with some of the sauce still damp on the tires got onto the hoody. Regular washing hasn't worked in taking the stain out, so you guys have any suggestions for what you/the wife/the girlfriend do to get rid of the stains you get from racing?

I've looked on Google but they don't have a section for tire sauce stains.

I've blasted it with motor spray before. It will lighten it but can leave a ring. Some stain removers are just brake cleaner anyway.

So far I haven't found anything.

I actually have "track" clothes I have a few t-shirts that I wear so I am not worried about sauce on them.

Yer TOAST!! That's a rubber / pertroleum stain--and it's NOT going to come out completely. All you can do is lighten it up a bit-- or--"TIE DIE" the whole hoody!!!! GO for the "60's" look which has come back again!!!!

I've used Simple Green to remove grease and oil from my flight suits at work. It's worth a shot.

I've used GoJo hand cleaner to remove some oil-based stains from clothing, but if you've already washed and dried the garment, this trick probably won't remove the stain completely.

You've learned a valuable lesson - never, EVER wear light colored clothing to the track, unless it's 100% expendable.

Sounds kinda silly, but have you tried Oxyclean or even that new Tide stuff that is supposed to remove "set in" stains?
Maybe even check out the Baby section at Walmart or something to see if they have something to remove baby puke stains!!!

Oxyclean worked wonders on my kids clothes when they were little....

Tire sauce on your clothes builds character, I say leave it!

My wife tells me the tide pen works wonders but I've never used it, I used to get oil and grease stains out of my flight suits with simple green and gojo.

Thanks for the tips guys. I guess we'll live and learn but its a bummer really. Where's Martha Stewart when you need her? (or Kim and Aggie for the UK guys ). We'll see what we can do with the suggestions and report back if something works.

Had the same problem and the wife took it to a drycleaner service, they must have some comercial stuff, but they got the stains out, might be worth a try, or take it to one to see if they can clean it.

March into your wifes end of the bathroom and grab a can of her aresol hairspray and nail it with that ,then toss it in the wash machine. That's the only thing I have found that will take it out. Once I had a ink pen blow up in the dryer and I thought I was screwed. Someone told me about the aresol hairspray trick and took it all out.
