This week shall be the 3rd week the Tekin and BD take on each other...

So far the wins have all been the BD, the TQ is 1 x BD and 1 x Tekin

Tyres should play into this weeks race

As they say no points for second

We shall also find out how it works in a bigger track, yes BD is coming to take on Harrison @ SMA (if it don't rain!)

Unlike the testing done by lets say a little more biased Tekin fan's..

Have handed my Black Diamond v1 software over to someone who is independent someone who normally runs a LRP, so this is a very fair test of the BD vs Tekin.
I must disappoint you with the fact that the GM with the 11.1 V2 isn't faster than the Tekin.
On 2 of our larger tracks the Tekin has the highest top speeds and the fastest lap times.
Even the SXX ss was faster than the GM.
Sorry for the bad news.

Mikky32 Missed you...

Don't worry about the average's....

Give me some tekin Love LOL

you hear there is a new version of BD we call it v2... you come up against anyone with that version yet?? I hear in testing it laughts at Tekin 204-205 and 206 software as it passes them

GM is really designed for Mod - 13.5 not really suprised it was beaten in 17.5... to slow for the 16bit processor

Hey Alex,

The BD will not be seen here on the tracks. Most drivers find the price way to high.
Also will for 17,5 also no BD or what ever speedo a great hit out here because most clubs go to a combo set for that or sensorless like ad my club.
It's 13,5 Lipo speedo free.
17,5 and than combo or sensorless.

There is also a discussion about the price of the hobby and the BD isn't helping with that out here.
Some drivers also want a combo for the 13,5T class and 1 club did that already.
I think that this speedo war will end as more clubs are starting to change to combo's.
Also do I think that sensorless will be the future to bring the speeds down.

Mikky32,

Funny you bring the cost back into this GM and BD cost the same..

So if you can afford to run GM you can afford the BD

Anyway

ESC war aka Wallet War goes on everywhere mate

So what combo's are being used, we are looking for some kinda Stock Spec setup over here in Oz...

Is yours a Tekin RS pro with Tekin 17.5 motor? or you using a HW with a cheap 13.5 motor?

Feel we have moved away from the BD subject a little.. so will just add...

Black Diamond 2 Tekin 0 (local track battle)

Also there is a new version coming up for availablity soon shall post the info once it arrives

Were do you buy the BD and the GM?
Here the GM cost 180 and the BD 400 euro.

The combo for 17,5T is from Speedpassion with the citrix motor and some clubs have the EZrun with a 17,5T.
Ad my club every sensorless speedo with some motors like Tekin, GM, LRP and Speedpassion 17,5T. That are the motors that you can buy here.
The combo of the 13,5T I don't now. I will ask.

As the 13,5T will be combo I'm going to drive mod.
I like the freedom of motor choice and speedo choice to much.
Also we have free tire choice.
1 set each race max. This to lower the cost. some drove 2 to 3 sets on a day. Only rubber tires.

I drive A Tekin RS Pro with a V3.0 and a Tekin Redline motor. Both 13,5T
And Tekin, Speedpassion V2.0 and LRP X 11 10,5T.
The LRP indoor because of the rules and the Speedpassion and the Tekin on the outdoor tracks.

For stock spec I would prefer the sensorless speedo's or the ones that can do it and run it sensorless.
The max timing is on them 30 and as you update the Ezrun you get also 30 timing instead of 26,25 degrees of timing.
The EZrun is a very nice combo set for a very low price.
Runs good water proof and reliable.

Come and race here some time.

Send me a PM as you want more info for stock classes.
I made the rules ad my club and the first test are giving very good results.
Close top speeds and acceleration. very nice class.

MR4,

There are just the part numbers used per company..

All refer to the TC spec verison of the BD which has more Fet's than LV however not proven to be much quicker

TC version shall let you run motors down to 3T, and comes with a bigger heatsink and a fan attched than the LV verison done - Can be used for any class be it Mod or Stock level racing.

Put this bad boy in a 17.5, power profile 5 change the brakes to your liking and between 3.9-4.2 FDR.. It will keep you very much at the front of the grid.
