Since most of Tamiya's current TRF cars share the TA04 suspension is it possible to convert a 414 MII to a 415 by purchasing new bulkheads, the X-shaped fibre stiffner piece, belts and a bottom plate? The thing is I want a new car & theres a 414MII in the house (not mine, but I might be able to get it) and the 415 seems like the next big thing (and it'll take my flat packs) I don't mind if its a lil off 415 spec but I want somewhat of a basic version

Not even close way too many parts you would need. You really need to buy the kit. The good news is you have spare arms and a few small parts

It would end up costing more then the TRF415 kit, as you change everything but the suspension arms and hubs......

hingepin mounts


Or in short... the only things transferring from a 414 to 415 is the TRF shocks (are yours fluorine??), suspension arms/hubs/axles and the front bumper.

Most of which are 'consumable' and probably not in top condition on a well-used car.

Same logic could build you a EvoIII too, I guess. Won't be cheap.

Nevermind....I ended up with a MR-4TC Worlds kit today.....Yay!
