I think young Ryan Cavalieri was newly sponsored by Losi at the time and won Stock Touring with the new XXX-s.

Is that 12th or 10th scale?

I see that the aspect ratio was thrown off in the making of this movie, making the 12ths limo-ed out to 10th pan proportions.

Those are 12ths.

I think the transponders and car numbers got mixed up by the scoring team so the entire race they were calling the wrong names and numbers!

They pulled all the cars and spent several minutes after the race sorting out the cars/transponders.

Really miss the sound of the mod brushed motors. The races seemed more exciting when the cars had that whine to them.

Cavaleri, Trujillo, and Robinette were all running XXX-Ss in stock that year, thanks to several kits being sent to Speedworld's hobby shop in boxes with no graphics, in order to make the 14 day deadline to be eligable for stock. Jay Neill won the race with a Yokomo by finishing 2nd in all 3 mains.

Nice job on the video's! What a great race that was. The 1/12th cars were fast but we could not run them nearly as hard as we do today.

i dont think its the aspect ratio that made the 1/12 look weird. they were just faster than the camera/video could keep up with. watch when they accelerate out of a corner. the seem to stretch like they are going to warp speed or something. lol
