You don't have to overhaul all your cells if you run stock. If you have 3300gp's and you take care of them they have probably gained voltage and dropped runtime. I still use a 2400 packs for qualifying and then a 3300gp for the main.

Lower IR also means the cells don't heat up as much. 2c

One kool think about the Trinity 3600 unmatched packs is they offer them in stick pack, soldiered in saddle, and soldiered in side by side. Saw that in an email that they sent us at Hobbytown. That will be nice for beginners that don't know how or are too afraid to soldier their batteries yet.

panasonic has 3600's, they have been tested and didn't even put up #'s close to the current GP's. plus they are almost square and don't meet ROAR sub-c dimensions. i wouldn't believe the 3500's produce any better numbers or people would be jumping all over them.

Although they are available....they are not legal for racing...maybe next year if Trinity push for it.

For those racers losing capacity on there GP cells, how are they maintaining them?

I was advised by Big Jim that if you leave a partial charge on the packs like the Panasonic Team that he spoke with when the original Nimh's came out recommended you will loose runtime. he recommends discharging the cells to at least 5.4V for stick packs.

I right now discharge my cells with an Octane 2, and equalize them before I charge them up.

My runtime has pretty much stayed at about 3700mah on my GPs.
