Hey Toink, only thing I can see that you need is a shelf at least a two tier, so you can stack stuff (like the charger on one level and the power supply on another) this would give you more pit space to work on your ride, U can even paint it Much More black.

also a pic of my pro 10 shell from one of the a-finalists from the 1998 ifmar worlds. cant remember who, think it might have been jon orr.

actually they blow air onto the heatsinks which the batteries sit on rather than directly onto the packs - if I recall SMC says a direct blowing fan on the packs during charging and discharging is a no no.... i think it reduces voltage or increases IR after doing a couple of cycles. personally i dont have one so i dont know how well they work. but i think the concept revolves around that premise hence the fans are aimed at keeping the heatsinks cool and not get oversaturared with heat while keeping the packs from overheating .... it even has a temp probe to measure the amount of heat on the heat sinks before the fans kick in. nifty!

just to add, i think the fans blow away from the heatsinks rather than at them.

I had a black Upgrade RC mat, but I quit using it. The black surface absorbed all the light and made me feel like I was working in the dark. I just go with a light blue towel now, it's not too bright, not too dark, and only $7 at Target. Everything else in my pit is pretty fancy, but the cheap towel has been the best option I've found so far, so I stick with it. I should sell that $50 Upgrade mat. I hear they come in colors now.
