Hobbypro:

you don't have to connect it to your supply. it comes with it's own power supply you just plug in. evry little bit helps when you are in the A at any major race.

Futureal:

I agree!!!!!! to bad it could be a great thread.

Charlie:

thanks fo posting the info about the Novak discharger. also for letting me see it at Cleveland. just waiting for one to show up at a LHS.

Rick Worth:

Hi,

I ended up with my solder lugs on the right side as we run dirt and all my cells have to be that way. hope you and your son have fun Karting this summer.

Mike Blackstock:

thanks for posting your thoughts on the Novak Discharge Tray. and a belated congrats to you on your win at the Nats.

Thanks

I know I will buy one when there become available... I played with one at the Novak race and now I have to get one! $85 might seem like a lot of money but when I am buying a tool or a piece of equipment (chargers etc.) I find that buying the best pays off...

Default RaySpeed Exceed Equalizing Discharger

Has anyone herd of this discharger. I think it does the as much if not more than the Novak one and its cheeper and available now. The only thing I dont understand is if it doesnt contact each cell how will it match/equlize the cells?

Anyone have a clue

If you look at the picture closely it only has 8 contacts 4 top and 4 bottom. How does it contact the other two cells?

Does anyone have one of these? I can't wait till May 15 for the Novak dc and Im very intrested in getting the Rayspeed.

I also find the RaySpeed more interesting....

About 8 versus 12 connectors: Look at how the batts are soldered together, and you'll get the picture... The pics in the link for the manual shows it well... there's no need for the extra connectors.

Default availability?!?

i noticed yesterday that novak changed their web page, and the smart tray instead of saying "available february" (yeah...right), nows says "now available".

anyone know who has these in stock? i'm hoping to have one by next weekend, and i've looked at the more popular online shops (tower, stormer, sheldons, speedtech, etc).

thx in advance.

gee-dub,

Novak released them in very limited quantities (we only received 3, which is now listed on our website)
