Default Black diamond and only Black diamond

Have created this forum in a bid to extract the most from my newly purchased BD

Can we please re-frame from comparing Tekin or LRP in this one, this should then keep people interested in sharing information based only on the BD.

This is a top dollar ESC and made a big impression from where Team CRC blew its competitors away, I want too do the same

http://www.modeltech.co.uk/catalog/default.php

the Following info!!

"We have just been informed that the BD will now be firmware upgradeable/configurable through the sensor port and AE will be releasing a connection cable and PC software kit, we will publish more details as we receive them."

Is there anyone out there can confirm this??

I am not really an expert on 17.5 only run 10.5 and mod..

In one of the other thread understand could be a team racer said run 60-66 rollout with 10.5

That will be profile 5 and break profile 2.

From someones setup at snowbirds..

43m / 78 spur / 50 pinon = 86 rollout.

What motor are you using? this was based on Duo and un confirmed.

Make sure you check temp's mate.. if the car goes slow or drops off.. gear down a 4 teeth and work back up.

Alex

Rollout with a duo1 will be around a 3.15 on medium track and up to 3.30 on a big track, with a ballistic possibly a little higher.

Thanks,

At our track they are running 13.5, and I wanted to de-tune my car alittle. Running 13.5 in my car seems so over the top with the Black Diamond and most guys are over shooting the corners, I want a smoother driving feel so I wanted to try a 17.5 motor but I need to keep up with the 13.5 motors. With a 13.5 my motor temps were 120 deg after 8 min. I will start with a rollout of 79mm our track is not as big as the SB track. Do you guys think I can keep up with a 13.5?

Thanks

Not used one so maybe gear 2 pinons less to be safe..

Think the above info is a ball park starting point

Speed is just nice, winning races is in corner entry and exit

What car you running?
