Should CRC decide to go side shocks I am there.

Am sure the starting rollout will be good, moving from 13.5 to 17.5 will require you going up in rollout as I am sure you know.. 79 for 13.5 is guessing 83-86 rollout in 17.5..

try and locate a duo1 or LRP x12 not saying you will fly past a 13.5 but smooth driving should keep you in the game.

Easy there.... I guess when talking about link to me it mean "with side shock!!" if this is not what that means when talking about X11 Link or Serpent 120 Link I stand correct

Ouch !!!!

He's running out of manufacturers fast !

I tip : Novak Kinetic or a GM ?

Might I suggest you join mini ? It is, after all , the premier class. Esc and motor are the same Alex.
Then YOU can't blame the equipment !!! BAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAA !!!!

Good luck mate , I hope this one works for you.

That will be profile 5 and break profile 2.

From someones setup at snowbirds..

43m / 78 spur / 50 pinon = 86 rollout.

What motor are you using? this was based on Duo and un confirmed.

Make sure you check temp's mate.. if the car goes slow or drops off.. gear down a 4 teeth and work back up.

Thanks,

At our track they are running 13.5, and I wanted to de-tune my car alittle. Running 13.5 in my car seems so over the top with the Black Diamond and most guys are over shooting the corners, I want a smoother driving feel so I wanted to try a 17.5 motor but I need to keep up with the 13.5 motors. With a 13.5 my motor temps were 120 deg after 8 min. I will start with a rollout of 79mm our track is not as big as the SB track. Do you guys think I can keep up with a 13.5?

Thanks
why don't you keep your 13.5 in and add some drag brake it will help you take the turns better

How many settings are possible? In all of the 'threads' you guys start, you only say to put it at 5 and 2, or is that all you need to do?

1s.........?
2s............?

Settings 5 and 2 is enough to get the BD round the track as this is stock mode, very close to mode 1,8,3,0 on SPX stock spec.

Still need to work out how low is needed for Mod racing, shall work that out in a few weeks.

Should be same for both 1s and 2s as they sell different ESC to cater for both battery types.

I wanted to try 17.5 at our track, and if you use drag break on our track you would get run over.

Just to show there is more than setting 5 and 2...

to use drag brake it would be Power profile 5 for stock racing and 4 or 5 to have drag break

My BD finally turned up and what a good look esc this is..

There is now a question,

Who out there is using a booster? who out there is taking advantage of option 8.2.

Running 1s this seems like very cool option, you plug your external battery where you normally have jumper pins (5-6) and this boost the power into the RX. If i understand the instructions. Anyone able to confirm before I blow up my new BD
