12th scale donuts will fit the Tamiya or Cross foam rims. For me Blue fronts and green rears work great on any track conditions. I have a set of purples and pinks I want to try next...

You're running blues with a GTP/LMP body? My car pushes like a dump truck with purples. How do you get steering with hard tires like that? This is on an F103?

This is on a Cross F1. And my front end is super stiff. very little dampening.. I still have a couple set of the ProLine F1 foams tires and wheels. I was able to get a full set f/r tires blues and green on Ebay for $10.00

I ran at the Classic last year and it handled great. I was running third all throughout the race and was it position for a trophy... but the last 30seconds someone took me out of contention.... Hope it will be different this year. I might have several chances this year to come home with a trophy if they include the F201 class.

So you were running with an open wheel body then. That makes a huge difference. That sux when you are in contention all through the race and someone dumps you into the boards a lap before the end of the race. Been there too! I've been thinking about trying reds or blues up front on my Cross car. You may have just inspired me to dust it off and give it another shot. I just picked up an HPI F1 car off Ebay. Hmmm... what to do, what to do...

Had one of the HPI F1's.. I wish I'd kept it. Only problem I had with the car is that the front arms were too flexy and too much steering. if the front arms were like the Cross the HPI would be a rocket. You may want to consider putting the tamiya arms in place and replace the steering knuckle with the HPI knuckle so you can still run them with 10scale foams.
Hey guess what... my wife and baby is out of town for 2 months.. you know that means... racing!!!!!! I'll definately be at Castle's next race...

I was thinking about doing a hybrid of some sort with the HPI car. A buddy of mine races a stock HPI car and it really works well for him. I have an idea on how to stiffen up the front arms too. We'll look forward to seeing you at Castle. Did you hear about the "Grand Prix" series yet.

Yeaaaahhh boyeeeeee! It's still in the works, but it looks like it will be F201 chassis only series with some significant hop-up restrictions and a handout type spec motor. It sounds like the rules will be pretty much what has already been discussed, but using a control motor to reduce cost and level the playing field a bit. The current sticking points are the wide availability of longer lasting tires (the Pit tires should address this once they get here,) and the final decision on which control motor, then wide availability on the motor. Should be a fun one!

Default F103 wheels...

Psycho- thanks for the plug our way. Yes, we do have the Tamiya wheels (for foams) in stock. We have the Cross stuff as well. Generally speaking, the Cross stuff is much easier to get but I can supply you guys with whatever you want.

Hi all!
I'm trying to access the hot bodies website, somehow the link from atsushi hara's website points to hotbodiesonline.com, which doesn't seem to have anything to do with R/C....

Anyway, I am searching for a suitable hotbodies bodyshell which can be fitted on a F103RS, can anyone help? Any type will do as long as it can fit, I'm running a hpi evo 6 on mine temporarily.

Thanks!

~Alvin

HotBodies website is out of order for sometime.. If you're looking for HB stuff try Ricky's RC Car... They handle all the HB option parts. if you're looking for HB bodies try Tower or Stormer Hobbies.
