spooky

Les told me that he will be carrying the Cross car once Schumacher gets them in.

Guys, what a lot of guys do in my area (South Bay, Northern CA) is to make hybrid cars. A popular combo is a Tamiya chassis, HPI frontend and AE rear end. You can buy the HPI front end at Tower for around $10 and can get an AE 10L for around $100. With this, you can run 1/10 pancar wheels, so you'll have a good choice of foam compounds. Most of the guys that race at Castle are pretty hardcore, so there are some pretty exotic cars racing here.

You can't get any of the stearing equipment from tower like hubs and apparel. There are all out and so is buyhpi. These parts are hard to find u nless you buy a super F1.

Psycho.........

Have you seen the cross car ? Or know anyone that that has driven one....

psycho 09-12-2001 03:55 PM

Spooky

One of my buddies has one. The rear pod is cool. He races his HPI car, though, due to lack of availability of parts for the Cross car.

TimPotter 09-12-2001 06:33 PM

Thanks.. I am gonna get that cross car..

TFR 09-12-2001 06:40 PM

The cross's car front end looks pretty good...

The whole car looks a winner...:D

still keeping my F103RS...:sneaky:

TFR 09-12-2001 06:42 PM

i was wondering if the front end of the cross car will fit the F103 F1 cars?:weird:

psycho 09-12-2001 07:00 PM

[TFR

My understanding is that almost all the parts are interchangable between the cars. Obviously, you'd need to use a complete front end or complete rear pod, but they're designed similarly.

TFR 09-12-2001 08:23 PM

wow... cool....:D

i have something to do now...hahaha...

TimPotter 09-13-2001 02:18 PM

Psycho....

u ever run one of those Ofna Nitro F1 cars ?....

psycho 09-13-2001 02:23 PM

spooky

Nope. I was bidding on one at Ebay, but lost the auction. I have a Kyosho F-ten nitro F1 car, though. It's not a pan-car, but it does handle a lot like an electric F1 car.

TFR 09-13-2001 02:55 PM

Kind of a crazy idea but heck...might as well ask...

i saw the Ofna F1 on ebay too, i saw the car and the car just looks like the F103...

was wondering if its possible to put a engine in the F103?
or is this a waste of time to try to fit one in, then just to get the ofna...

hahaha...kind of stupid to ask..

TimPotter 09-13-2001 04:42 PM

I have seen a bunch of them on EBay... all of them sold for around 100 bucks... seems like a decent deal.... They just look like soooooo much fun.....

Where to get all of the money for the new kits...
1. Cross F1
2. Schumacher Mission Pro
3. TT TS-4n pro..
4. Ofna Nitro F1...

gotta thin out the ranks... Pro2 Rally will go first..

psycho 09-13-2001 04:44 PM

TFR

I had the same idea, but I think it would be more difficult than finding the complete car. The Ofna car has an aluminum chassis and the rear pod is quite different. Just keep looking on Ebay and you'll see them on there. Or... you could get the Kyosho car and run it as 2wd.
