Default What to get

I currently have a TC3 Racer racing in semi-competative mod class. What do you guys think I should get:

A BMI racing chassis to replace the stock composite one

or

A new charger to replace my fixed delta peak 4A charger

Sorry if this is a pointless question, but I am really clueless.

Cheers

Definately the charger. A good charger is the most important thing to invest in, if you intend on staying in the hobby.

get a really good charger (i.e. Turbo 35GFX, futaba CDR-5000) because your car can be set up by the best of them... but if your batteries arent charged right, you chances of winning will decrease. there is a noticeable different between charging at 4amps and 6amps. good luck in your decision making!

The TC3 is not a bad car at all. From what I read the limiting factor right now is not the car's ability, but your ability. As you improve you may get to the point where you feel the car is restricting your improvement but I don't think that you have reached that point yet. However you could talk to one of the other drivers who have more experience to look at your car and make suggestions about improving what you have, probably for not too much money.
A charger is a great investment and a good one will stay with you forever (please don't forget about the Pro Trak), but the only thing that will help you to improve is practice.

Dusty.

I just got a Indi 16x7v6....very happy with it. Simple to use and has a lot of kick-ass features. Integrated Power Supply AND DC hookup, adjustable milivolt settings, battery conditioning (displays adverage voltage of the pack, you can compare your packs to see which one goes to the mains) 30 AMP discharge, 6.5 AMP charge and manageable size (I'm forced to walk/transit to the track 60 miles away so size/compactability is a must) Good charger for the long run

BUT....I do reccomend the BMI chassis. I got one and its sweet. Lightens the car a bunch while stiffening it up and a nice motor mount system

OOC: What kinda of gear are you running in the car? A good, high amperage speed control is a must. Same with a good set of GP's

The charger is more important. There are alot of people still racing the original chassis.

Default what you should get.....

get a new charger that way youll have no problems getting your batts up to racing spec's .. then as you feel it necessary get a new chassis (BMI) . That will give you an edge when your ready for Real compition .. sounds like your on your way . so good luck and have a great time at racing.......
