Oh got my first 1/12th TQ tonight !! ;)

Cheers for all the set-up help guys it really paid off :sneaky:

The car is now dialled and "on the pace" so i'm a happy man.

Biggest and only real difference set-up wise from your suggestion's was to use damper tubes on the rear which i really liked.

Do you have any pic's of the carpet version of the bmi 1/12? The site has nada.

Thanks,
E

the bmi site does have pics. you have to select associated cars and then you will see the link to the bmi12 conversion.

Oh... Thanks.

What does it come with? Should i just check the 1/12 bmi thread?

Any takers on the 3 vs 4 bolt?

Basicly the rear pod (in damper tube and damper disc versions) with lowered pod plates this year :)

And the main chassis.

You really need a doner car for the T-Bar , shock , damper plates and front end etc.

But the carbon parts are a work of art ! :)

Are the servo mount holes drilled? Or does one need to locate and drill (which I'm not very good at).

here is a pic of the BMI 1/12th carpet conversion.

as for the center brace in the front of the chassis, the holes in the lower arms vary from front to rear and inside to outside.i have to this day never had a set of arms that would not tweak the chassis with the center support in place.i always machine my lower arms and redrill and helicoil the mounting holes in the lower arms to square them up and make them symetrical.

and what i found with 4 point bracing on the rear pod is a more solid precise pod.the better braced, precise and squared up the car is,the better it will work on the track.

our chassis kit comes predrilled for the srvo mount.there is actually 2 options for ackerman change and weight placement.

eric

a page or so back is a pick of Mike Blackstocks cars. he runs 3-bolt top pod plates but with a added post on the left side with a 4-hole top plate. Barry Baker showed at our track last year with the same mod. i asked and was told it stiffens the whole pod and eliminates flex on the left side.

Roger,

Just come to Stockton tomorrow and several "masters" will guide you.

Otherwise, have fun with it.

CRC 3.1

Hi all,

Just picked up a 3.1 to run this Winter season.
Not wanting to spend lots on 12th scale, just wanted something to run that needed little ( or no) setup week to week.
That said, is there anything I should pick up for the car? or anything I can do to bring it to current specs?

thanks
Stu
