Cosmo,

The Mugen diff syrup will work, I'd use the 50,000 on anything but a billiard table smooth carpet track with lots of grip, then I might try the 100,000.

Still, try and get some Losi hydra drive fluid fo rthe future... it'll be easier to share setups that way.

Cool. I'll order some Losi, but the Mugen will get me through this weekend anyways.

Got our 12L3 kit today. Biggest surprise was it doesn't come with a body. Thought it did, and because there are only 2 or so bodies out there, I'm surprised AE doesn't include one.

Check out Hot-bodies. They have a really nice Ferrari body.

Hey everyone. I'm new to 1/12 racing and recently picked up a 12L3. I run 4 cell and have been practicing running mod. I've been running a 10x3 Ti (wound by Fantom). The words "Ungodly Fast" come to mind. I was suprized at how easy it was to drive though. I run the stock set-up other then purple/grey tires. The car still seems to have a tight condition. I've been about 45sec-1min short of making run time concidering the motor I've been running. Anyone have any advice? I'm going to try to make it to Octoberfast, but I don't know if I will be able to. Well I just thought I'd drop by and see whats going on here. Later

JohnnyV--

How are you gearing the car, are you running 4, 5, or 8 minute races, and what cells are you running?

Do you hit full throttle much at all during a run?

And it's very good.

My current choice for 1/12 and Pro 10.
Excellent front downforce and excellet rear grip even in tight tracks.

Thanks for the suggestions on the body. Hadn't thought of Hot Bodies but will check them out.

coolrcdad 10-05-2001 06:25 AM

BTW, anyone know Hot Bodies' web site address?

JohnnyV. 10-05-2001 07:00 AM

I run 8 minute heats and I'm geared 75/19. Yes I do hit full throtle down the straight away 100+ foot long. I'm running blue panisonics 3000's

Hey Chad (and others),
Have you ever seen the Assoc. Corvette GTP body? It doesn't really look to be very fast, but it looks really sweet. I got one just to paint up for show. I'm putting the paint peeling/tearing metal/outer space scheme on it, so it'll be a while before I finish it. I'll post some pics when I get finished tho.

64 pitch gearing

What size spur and pinion in 64p size do you recommend for P2K, 4cell, 8-minute races? Thanks.
