The Proto Speed 8 is LOW downforce. It doesn't really make any, anywhere but up front, and it doesn't make all that much in the front either.

Tps's interpretation is close, but not quite accurate. It's not that the Proto has more STEERING than the Parma, it just has less REAR grip. The ONLY body that makes nearly as much front downforce as the Parma (excluding the TRINITY, since it's just a rip-off of the Parma), is the Proto Ascari, and it's got even more rear grip than the Parma Bentley.

I wonder what Trinity has up their sleeve, they said a new "slammed" body will be out soon to match the new Reflex 12...

I believe Josh was the one designing the body, so it might not even happen now.

Thanks for the info everyone...I've never like a ton of downforce in my cars, so I'll have to ponder what I choose. My former favorite body was the PSE Mazda back in the day, and but have been running the same P35 for a long time now.

Can't we all just run TOJ's again?

Default Fresh,

I am sure I didn't say "Unbreakable" but it won't break as much.

See this link, Page 4 part # 8326 or 8203

There are 4 mounting locations for the upper arm/caster block pin to adjust roll center and 2 rake angles to adjust the mount of reactive caster.
Hi Mike D,
Sounds good. How does the roll centre settings affect the handling? Is there an online shop thats carries them?

Just wondering if you guys had a good setup for the Monster stock ( brush / spring combo , amp draw , and roll out ) for 1/12th 3300 4 cell ,on a 80 x 50 carpet track , some times it flows and other times its pretty technical.
I also was wondering what the drive freQ on the speedo should be on a Novak Atom, I'm running their 4 cell stock setup and it just doesn't seem fast .

thanks in advance
Bob

rcsilly,

Try Trinity 4499 "E" brush with green springs on both sides. Roll out around 1.173 - 1.176. As far as amp draw. I like to see 8 amps at 2 volts on my GFX.

thanks Rob,
I ran 4505 w a 1/16th hole , reds and rolled out at 1.78 , made run time but had no rip , I'm thinking I need to try a different speed control , or try some different settings on this atom.
I'm going to try the greens and a lower rollout next time at the track.
Bob
