Turbonium 10-25-2006 08:44 PM

my car has a set of the alloy mounts from a T4 truck, mounts nice and rigid, after the holes are drilled and countersunk.

Trinity makes them also, and you can use Xray servo posts.
The latest Futaba servo case is molded so you can mount it flat
without posts or mounts. Just a screw and a nut!!!( )

some like to use bump toe and it also changes the steering geometry a little.it does have a different fell than the angled mounts.

Actually order a set of TC4 servo mounts. They run really flat to the chassis. You just have to slice off the positioning nub. They look pretty good on the car.

is the 1/12th scale cars as fast and tunable as a 1/10th scale tc? if its just as fast and handles as good, then i might get into it, because there is a leage around here.

RaceAce701 10-26-2006 08:16 AM

in stock iv noticed that the 1/12 lack a tinny but of srtaightaway speed but the cut the corners like they are on rails

streetracer745 10-26-2006 08:19 AM

i wouldnt run stock. i have problems with brushed motors lately, and try to stick to brushless racing ones. would the AE RC12L4 with a mamba or neo be as fast as my yok with the neo-one 4*? and would it be able to take turns faster?

RichChang 10-26-2006 08:27 AM

On an indoor carpet track, as long as my stock 1/12th is doing the same lap times as the fast stock TC folks, then I am happy. So, yes, it is possible to get your 1/12th as fast as a TC.

It is tunable, but simpler than a TC.
