if i wanna run the yokomo chassis on my soon to be rc12l3 is the only thing i need to buy the yokomo bottow plate? damn racers here in aus, i have a carpet knife then they say everyone runs 6cell, so i order an rc12 and then they say that it will be 4cell but 6cell will be ok. i guess the associomo will be better then that crc anyway.

also what size wrenches do i need to build a rc12l3. if there are lots of different sizes which is used the most.
thanks

most of the chassis screws use 1/8 driver. Wheels use 5/32 screws. Axle nuts are 11/32 driver and 4x40 nuts (small) use 1/4" driver.

ausracer,

Here are the correct sizes...

All the flathead and buttonhead 4-40 screws take a 1/16 allen driver, all the caphead 4-40's take a 3/32 driver. The front end 8-32 screws take a large phillips screwdriver. The diff nut is an 11/32, and the motor screws take a 2.5mm allen.

Try R.C. Madness in Enfield CT. Chris has and knows all when it comes to 1/12th scale. If he doesn't have the speedmerchant he does have the CRC Carpet Knife.

Hey racers ,
Another question for ya .....
I need to get a bigger gear on my rc12l3 , I've seen some rear offset axle height adjusters but no one seems to know who makes them , I know I could get the offset rear pod but cash is tight right now , and I'd rather get a new axle and pro diff first .
any help on who makes these ?
