One question... does the SP12M Euro come with the ability to run small tires? I'm not choosing the stock 12L4 because you've got to replace the rear pod... I'd like to make sure the Corally already has that cost-saving small-tire capability.

Nope, no lowered pod, but there isn't even an option to buy one :( The Corally really is a neat car, and every time I work on it I marvel at how well thought out and easy to work on it is. Don't forget it's best to have Corally pinions with the SP12M.

Not yet but I'm seriously considering it... It's sloppy but it's so stable and tracks so nicely (I always find myself between clicks for that perfect straightness with my T-fource). Let me know what you think after you try it out.

Does that mean you can use your tires longer on your t-fource than on your corally?

Yeah, but I find myself not being able to gear where I want when the tires start getting smaller on my T-fource. The front tires on the Corally are easier to run smaller though since the ride height is so easy to set and there's no need for lowered front arms.

yok yrx12we & bmi chassis?????

Does anyone know if the BMI 12th chassis will work with the yok car?
I run carpet and heard it does not work well because chassis is made for asphalt.Anyway, I was thinking about finally getting this car running if I could find a carpet chassis.
I should put the servo in it and try it on carpet but never drove a 12th before so I would not know if it was bad or not.
I just don't want to throw more $$$ at this thing if it won't work or, since I don't hear much about this car should I just concider it a shelf decoration.
Any input is appreciated.
Thx,
Darrald

The BMI chassis should bolt up but you might need a new bottom plate for the pod and the front brace for the suspension (I run without one). You'll need to mount a new body because the wheelbase will change.

yok bmi info

Thanks for the info. Now I need to find out if that plate comes w/ the bmi kit. Their pic looks like it does but it also shows all the susp parts which obviously don't come with.

All of the Yokomo parts will bolt right up to the BMI conversion. The Yokomo chassis is too flexi for carpet. You can switch back and forth between the two chassis and have a car for carpet and a car for asphalt

the bmi kit comes with everything, but the front end, axels, tbar, dampening disks. and the hardware for these things.

Thanks

The extended rear pods allow you to put larger spur and pinion gears in. More teeth apparently make for a more efficient mesh.

This will extend your wheelbase a little. This will cause slightly more stability, at the expense of slightly less steering ability.

kevikevtmc , 40mm is a good start if your running stock. That will work at Gilroy, and should also work at Stockton. Not sure what they run in 19 turn and Mod.

Well thanks again for the info.
I went for it so now all I have to do is explain a new t2 and a new chassis for a car I have never driven and the new batteries !!!!! :sneaky:
Maybe I can see if the track has a place for a cot. :ha:
