Hey Adrian, does IFMAR HAVE a separate body list? I thought that it was left up to the hosting governing body, or at the very least, it was a combination of the body lists of the 4 member blocs that comprise IFMAR (correct me if I'm wrong)

Not sure. I have hear that before. Teemu told me that the host sanctioning body's (ROAR) Body and Motor list were to be used. This may be the case but until we get the real word from IFMAR we cant say for sure.

If the ROAR list is used, then the Parma Speed 8 and Alfa will be legal???

IFMAR has not yet gotten back to me so I cannot say if this is true.

Call Parma to be sure if they have submitted the body for IFMAR approval.

I can't remember where I saw it but for IFMAR the approval on batties is 4 months. If they do go by ROAR rules then the new Sanyo 3600 batteries will not be legal. I have a feeling the new Sanyo battery will be legal. Any thoughts?

Anyone know the dimensions of the track? Is it like 200 x 75? or 150 x 75? Any ideas?

Jeff

Please not that the electric layout will not use the full racing surface. It will have a shorter straight than the full back straight used by the gas cars and a diffrent route through the infield to make the lines tighter.

That said at this time only Jorge knows the final layout for the Worlds track. It has to be made public in the Stage 2 Report due at the end of May.

John, thank you.

Adrian, when is the Stage 1 Report due? And will the layout be the same for 1/12th and TC?

Greg.... by IFMAR rules the Worlds have to have different layouts for each class.

Adrian.... I don't want the layout, just dimensions. I guess we will know how big it is at the PreWorlds.

The stage 1 report was due Nov 1st 2003 and was submitted on time. Hmmm...Jorge should have posted it on the website. I'll give him a call and ask him to put it up. There is a lot of great info on it.

The lanes are 17ft wide. The surface is great but the track is large... The length of the track is like 250. I am not sure but gas touring cars take about 3 to 4 seconds at full speed to go across. The infield is painted green and they have areas with curbing so coming to the pre worlds is going to benifit all those who can make it. George did a great job with the track for gas, I just think it will take some dots and alot of work to get that track tight. The track will probably be a high speed flowing course like they race in Europe. When you imagine the kissimmee track think real real big. I think 19t class was doing about 15-17 seconds on the infield layout.
