Adrian, do you think it'll be alright if you dont use tire sauce? Also... I have that paint mask you asked for for Paul's body.

If you want to be on pace you will have to use some kind of traction compound.

I am from overseas and have entered the Worlds. I will be in the USA in early June on business. I was contemplating while I was there to catch a flight to Florida and spend a few days practising at the Worlds track. Is it actually possible to practise at this track anytime? Is there power available at the track? If I need to buy a few things is there a Hobby shop near by?

Thank you for any help on these matters, I emailed the guys at Full Throttle Speedway a few days ago but have not received a reply, so I thought I would try here.

Thanks.

Default IFMAR WING ISSUE RESOLVED!

At the previous Worlds IFMAR required racers to run 175mm wide wings. There was some concern about this as that size wing is hard to get in the US.

I got a call at the track last night from ROAR Treasurer Rand Holst that IFMAR had just put through a rule change that allowed wings up to 190mm wide.

So...you can run whatever comes with your body as long as it is 190mm or narrower.

The track is fast. The straight was extended for the pre-worlds and now the complete right side of the track is used. The chicane entering the straight is brutal. If you judge it wrong you will launch you car.

The track is not too hard to drive but is very setup critical. Your car must have good corner speed and grip to go fast and it must handle very high speed transitions. There is more high speed cornering on this track then normal US pipe/rectangular tracks.

Everyone is just concentrating on getting a feel for the track and the layout. Traction is good as Jorge gave the entire track surface 3 coats of sugar water this morning. Setups will probably start coming together tomorrow.
