Default Quick touring car (TC5r) question

I need to get a new spur gear for my TC5R. Currently I am running 48pitch 87 spur with a 30 pinion for a FDR of 5.8. I want to experiment with the spur size and wanted to know what the effects will be going to a 74 spur with an FDR of 4.9. Will it bog it down or will it rip. I am running rubber on carpet track with 92 foot long straight away. Running a 17.5 express duo 2 motor with the Tekin RS. My temps have been in the 140's after a solid 15 min run. Thoughts on this???/ Or should I just stay with the 87 spur. Thanks everyone in advance.

4.9 is gonna be too much for what your running. I'm running on a similar track with a similar set up and I'm at 5.6 and I'm coming off at 150 on my Tekin 17.5 after 8 minutes.
