Now it's time to ask X-Ray the 235mm pod conversion
Yes, and how about getting them to making the motorpod larger so that we can use 48P gears.. such as 88/90T spur...
It will not fit today.

What kind of servo you guys use on your cars?
I've planned to use an Orion low profile servo but the servo posts on the X10 are made for half sized and require to use an option part so i have used the orion L.P. in another car. I've then decided to get a proper sized servo but haven't an idea wich one ( i ain't gonna buy an Hitek) any idea?

I'd go with either JR or Futaba, I don't like HiTech servos.

If the mounting holes on the chassis don't line up with the servo just use shoe-goo. That's what I've done on 3 of my X10 chassis' and haven't had a problem yet. Just make sure you let it cure before using it.

I think that is too small. Any 12th scale servo will work. I don't know the number for it, sorry. As for the actual fit with the mounting holes, I have 3 servo's and none of them fit the mounting holes on the chassis, so I shoe-goo'd them in like I said earlier. Less weight that way to

Thanks Foxy, you were right, i went to a shop and saw the Futaba servo today,it's way to small for a 1:10 pan car,so i've used the longer servo posts i borrowed from my son's T3R and used the L.P. Orion servo.
About 235mm conv.n i think we better hit hard over here:

Have fun, I have no intention to run 235mm. I'm waiting for some other stuff.

Try the Futaba 9560 or Futaba BLS651.

Futaba9560 is big as those i've ,to big.But the BLS is perfect ,there's only thing i'm concerned about is this servo: it's supposed to work only with NiCad's but not with Lipo's (2S) as stated in the factory spec's :
http://www.gpdealera.com/cgi-bin/wga...pgm?I=FUTM0567

I believe it can work well with 1S or 4NiCad's since it's made for 1:12th scale cars needs or 1S 1:10th scale cars but not with 2S. I wouldn't like to burn a 100+ bucks servo just to see if it works.

Hello from France,

my servo is the savox 1251 (the same I use in my touring cars).

It fits without any problems. Just to add some shims under and above the posts.

Au revoir

The 9650 and BLS651 are virtually identical in size. I use the both the 9650 and BLS651 in 1/12 scale with a 2s LiPo Rx pack with no issues.

Besides, if you are using 2s LiPo for the main battery, your ESC has a BEC that reduces the voltage to 6.0v. The 2s LiPo Rx pack users are technically supposed to use a voltage regulator to drop the voltage to 6.0v, but I don't know of anyone that does.
