just finished assemble my new x10 using team wave rb50 with 13.5t motor and 2cell lipo, jayco purple front and back tires

just tried it on tennis court and it runs fine except gears make funny noise and vibrate at low speed. may need to redo the center shock

i like how the car drive and it handles but it still need some fine tuning to make it run properly

will try again on track this friday

Hey Alex,

Looks good! So are you planing on running it at the RRR Trophy race Sept 4-5th? Sounds like we're bringing 10 or 12 Pro10 cars

We run 2S LiPos, not 1S so you're good that way. Some of our guys run 13.5 as well as they can't handle the power. It would be good experience for you!

Come on

John, How about battery placement for a 1s pack? A friend placed his battery up front with the speeder tucked behind it like a CRC car. Also what do you start your tires at?

thanks
chuck

Chuck

I have my Battery at the Front with the Tekin behind it on my WGT. See attached. I start my CRC Spec tires at about 56mm Front and Rear - Big fronts but I don't want to grind them down for Club Racing. We are running 17.5 Single. You'll probably will want about 55mm fronts to start for 13.5. That's where I start for my 2 Cell 25.5 Xray.

Hey Alex,

No, you definitely don't NEED to run a wider body unless you've widened the chassis as well. There are several cars that run narrow (200mm) in our club with great success. Some will be at the race in Richmond.

By shim, do you mean for ride height? Our track is fairly smooth so I set my ride height to 4mm in the front and 3mm in the rear. I have no idea what the RRR track is like so at the moment your guess is as good as mine

See you there!

Ran the new car at The Gate on Sun worked well right out of the box. 1s battery pack up front as in John's pics. Would like to stiffen up the rear shock with a heavier rear spring or CRC shock and springs. John what is the CRC shock you are using? Need the car to be able to roll through the corners a little better.

It's really nice to see such an interest in this car. Hopefully after Vegas there will be more info posted.

I found out by trying that it is NOT possible to run 48Pitch 92T spur in the car.
There is simply not enough space left between motor and spur, 1mm from edge of spur to motor axle.

anyone oout there running 48pitch? if so what gearing are you using?
I have a 5,5T motor...
