Hey guys,

Just recently purchased a XRAY X10 LINK used from a guy. Cars in great condition besides its going to need a new front bumper as it had a bad hit for sure! Not cheap those bumpers lol. Amain hobbies is asking $52... wow.
I took the car apart back to a million peaces. I wanna build it from scratch...
Any upgrades i should be doing before starting this build? Shock? Kingpins?
Is there a way of using the crc 1/10 scale tire on this car? As I already own a crc gen x le 10. So using the same tires on both cars would make it easier for me!!!

Any advise please reply guys!!!

Thanks....

Yes, you can use the CRC tires. I find however that the Jaco's fit the rear hub better...plus the new white rimes look sweet

To help save bumpers try using the crc screws (red), they are softer and will bend on a hard impact saving the bumper.

Thats a good tip on the screws for the bumper. Ill have to try that! Now the axles on the xray are smaller then the crc, so what do I need to do? Different bearings or different axles?

The fronts use a different size bearing to fit the smaller axle but the outer dia of the bearing is the same. Any 1/10 pan car tire will fit.

Did the car not come with bearings for the front tires? Boca has a set http://tinyurl.com/7h675w2 for the car. I'm currently using these and they are great.

The only thing I've ever had to replace was the axle. I'm now running the CRC rear axle and had no problems with the car at all.

Not sure why all the hate for this car? Funny how people bash it but then get a second mortgage on their house when a new Xray TC comes out

That doesn't mean the car is no good. This car has the same Xray quality as any of it's other cars. But what does my opinion count for

I have driven the X10 outdoors for a season and as of yet the only problem I had is the rear graphite axle loosing the left hub, it comes loose.
I have been using it to test the 235 parts we make for the X10.

A fellow driver that broke his bumper after coming airborne due to cutting to close to a curb in a curve during acceleration, i think the car went onto 2meters up in the air!

Hi there,

The X10 is a great car. I drive it here on a 1/8 course and went great.

I use Xceed front and rear tires. A basic tire setup is medium (30sh) rear and hard (40sh) front.

I found an alternative for the carbon bumper.

Much beter than the original from XRAY. More solid.

The leax bumper is only 19 euro.

I use the steel axle XRAY 375012

http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/new...Y%20Pan%20Cars

Much stronger! And i don't think you have the same problem as the Graphite axle with this one!

I also use an shock from the T3 with an 2.2/2.6 spring. I think that the normal x10 shock is to weak for the 1/10X10. It is made for the 1/12 X11/X12.

Good luck!

Hi,

The bumper is made by RC Devil and the send them also to Canada.

Here is the link. http://www.freemart.de/rcdevilshop/i..._Xray-X10.html

Here is the link for the shock. http://www.the-border.com/XRAY-T2-00...-2-308306.html

The 2.2 springs: http://www.the-border.com/XRAY-Sprin...-2-308373.html

The 2.4 springs: http://http://www.the-border.com/XRA...-2-308374.html

And the 2.6 springs: http://www.the-border.com/XRAY-Sprin...-2-308375.html

I have't drive the car with a 2.8 or more spring. And i don't think it is necessary.

I live above A'dam and i drive on Mach Heemstede. Maybe you heard from it.
http://www.machheemstede.nl/home/index.php
This year the WC electro is dirven on Mach! http://www.ifmar2012worlds.com/. Check it out!

When you go to Holland in May give me a PB, then when can meet with our X10. I drive with some guy's here. They are also active on this forum.
For example: 2wdrive, Joost K. Westy, ect...

I looking forward for you visit!

When you have some questions, don't hesitate
