Hi guys,

I hope you don't mind a new asking some questions. I've always wanted a 1/10 pan car.

How hard are these to set up to handle on pavement? Do you use foam on pavement? How hard are these to drive? These look like maximum fun factor to play with.

There's a new rc track in Kissimmee dedicated to on road racing and I really want to get into the World GT class.

Thanks for putting up with my newbish questions. If you have any websites for me to go read up that would be cool.

Thanks

Thanks for making me clear about the BLS servo Joe,i borrowed higher steering posts from my son's T3R wich are exactly the same as those required for a full sized servo for this car and ended up using the low profile Orion servo i allready bought. Now i've a 0,9sec. digital servo that'll be perfect for the X10 . . . next step it'll be going out to the track and try this beauty with the new 8T delta motor i got for it.

Pan cars are easy to set up if you take your time, and pay attention to detail.
One of the great things about the cars, is that there is almost no hop-up's or modifications required to them to be competitive (unlike touring cars), what you buy is all you need. Saying that, you do need a few additional springs for tuning, but they are only a few $$ each.
My friend got an X-10 and set it up to factory settings, went out and had a fantastic handling car.
All pans run on foams. People generally true them down a bit, but if you don't have a truer many get almost as good performance with the tire straight out of the box.
I've only been racing my pan (CRC GenX-10) for a few months and i'm almost as fast as I was in my TC (we run 2 cell Lipo with 13.5 motors), so yeah, fairly easy to drive

Default Parts gear, pinions

Hi! I have an X10 in France in recent days, and I ask myself many questions.
I read the previous pages, but I wonder where to find the crowns of 48 dp and sprockets.

I looked at Rc mart and there are lots of things but I do not know if it works.
The rings are compatible does it always those who are 12 pitches for balls?

Who could give me links to these purchases?

Thank you!

I always use Kimbrough 48dp spurs in my RC10L2 and DB10RR. There are some other brands that fit a pancar but i always had a good feeling about the Kimbough spurs.

Below is a Dutch webshop but they send internationaly. I am sure there must be some shops in France that sell these as well?

Default Lipo

For many years I use this battery level. (see photo).
With this new chassis lipo are not easily (the I had to take a low profile servo). So I am forced to change batteries. My engine is an 10T brushless. vario 35A.

My questions
- Why not put the batteries in 1S? What are the disadvantages?

- why not to 2S batteries in saddle '(separate) in position around like my F103, advantages, disadvantages?

Here are some questions.
Thank you again for your help and comments.

Just finished up a run of rear bulkheads for this car. They feature a lowered motor position, 1mm raised rear shock position, and will use the standard Associated, IRS, or CRC ride height adjustment pills. We tested these on our local carpet track which is probably medium grip at the moment with 13.5 and this configuration seemed to make the car better. We have also been testing a conversion to dampening tubes to replace the center shock on the 12th car. This does seem to change the feel and handling of he car from the center shock. It has not been tested on the 10th car yet as no one at our track is running one at this time. This is not in production at this time. If anyone is interested in this, pm or email me and I will gage the interest in this to see if it is viable to produce and what the price would have to be.

When looking at the x-ray 10 link from another driver it baffled me that the center damper that controls the side to side movement rubbes against the rear chassis brace and upper podplat when moving the pod side to side. Anyone have that as well? Seems like a design flaw to me?

strange.... His does rub against the chassis brace and top plate. Hmmm maybe he build it wrong. It seems either the chassis brace or the bullstuds for the damper are too high. Will have a closer look next time.

Hi there, I am new to the 1:10 pan car, and I have a few newbie questions:

I was wondering what shell is best to use for 1:10 pan car?

What are the settings for toe out in the front, front and rear ride height and camber?

What is the best tire diameter for front and rear?

I have built my X10 link according to the manual.

Thanks
