Questions?? Brushless HELP

I have just installed a brushless system and it will not run.
Specs: LRP speedo and Trinity Pulse 17.5 motor

The motor is making a humming squeling noise when throttle is pulled. The motor end bell gets warm near the wire connections. The motor will not rotate when throttle is applied.

I have double checked the wiring, preformed the setup for the speedo.
The motor spins freely when no power is applied.

The steering servo functions ok.

Open for suggestions??

Thanks,

Sounds like you have the power wires in the wrong order. The endbell getting warm would be a sign of that...or you might have a short somewhere. Make sure when you soldered the wires on the solder didn't bridge across the connections.

if u have 2 of the phase(motor) wires back to front it will be trying to spin in reverse whilst the sensor is telling the esc to stop it from going that way have seen it before and yes the motor gets hot

I don't have a Hall sensor wire.
Could that be it?

Is that required on this motor?

It was indeed the missing sensor wire.

After I installed it motor runs fine!

Yeah!

Thanks,
