Here in the Midwest RCGT is almost dead. TA is big. F1 is starting a small come back.

I have raced TC for over ten years but I really enjoy WGT on a tight indoor carpet track it dovetails in perfectly with 1/12 scale but less twitchy to drive. However, come summer and it's back to outdoor dirt for most of us. Our local indoor carpet track closes for the outdoor season and the nearest one is 190 miles away.

We remain within the WGT specs at our track and the result is some very close competition, very close like tenths of seconds close. So far the class is growing and we hope it continues to grow because it is FUN.

RCGT is alive and well in Indianapolis. We just had 7 entries on Sunday and there are a few other drivers that took the week off.

VTA is doing fine as well.

The closest track to Indy that is/was running WGT is Tri-State in Cincinnati. Now that there is a bigger track in Indy (R/Car), I know of a few people that might be interested in WGT.

WGT Looks really cool, the foam tire thing would be the only thing that would hold me back. I swore to myself that I wouldn't get back into foam tire racing.

RCGT is FAR from dead...It's one of the fastest growing classes across the board...You just have to race what's most popular in your area.

I wouldn't say RCGT is dead in Chicago, just in hibernation. It seems like a lot of the guys who race it are only coming out in the summer. F1 is kinda the same way, but there's more guys who race year round.
