Default question about flying with R/Cs

i was going to ask this in the race result thread on top but i figured it would be better to leave it for the race.......anyways...how do most of u get your cars and equipment through security at the airports?.....thing like the battery packs and transmitters have to send up a big red flag ....i just been wondering this after reading an article on the world off road finals over in africa a while back......the aurtor said the security took quite a few packs from people.......i'm just wondering

Most people ship their equipment before and after the race to elleviate the headaches at the airport. If you don't want to do that, on your carry-on baggage, keep your radio, crystals and possibly the car. The rest should be checked in.

You ship it via a carrier, or pack it in checked luggage. I did this with my xray and transmitter and there were no questions asked.

Most fully sponsored guys shipped unbuilt kits and build them when they get there....less space of a built kit and it wont get damaged as much as a pre-assembeled kit.

These are my thoughts...
