Help me pick the right charger!!! Please!!
I am trying to pick a charger. I currently race Touring Cars and 12 th scale. I have a Tekin BC100L charger right now with a cheesy power supply and I want to pick something up and use this as my backup charger. I had a few in mind and was hoping you guys could help me out.
1. Reedy Quasar or maybe the Quasar Pro if it is that much better to be $100 more.
2. Novak Millenium Pro
3. Novak Ionic.
I want AC/DC so I don't have to buy a new power supply but I might consider a DC unit. Tell me which one you would pick and why and something else that you like.....all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

This isn't one you had listed, but check out the Integy 16X5. It is DC, but you say you have a power supply-how many amps is it?

I personally prefer the Pro-Trak. It is probably one of the best chargers/dischargers on the market. Check it out on the following link.

if you have one of novak's cyclone or atom ESCs, get the millenium pro. it has a built in pit wizard so you can setup your esc to whatever profile you want. but youll need a power supply, the mil pro is DC only.

Probably the Millenium Pro. It is a nice unit, and has some cool features that comparable chargers don't.
I have a Tekin BC112C (the ancient and ugly) and a Turbo 35. I think the turbo 35 is great because you can completely program the charge modes. It can dishcarge/cycle batteries and run a motor, lathe etc. also.
But if you are looking for a charger that just charge, definately consider the Millenium Pro.

If you go for the Novak Mill Pro, be sure that it has the lastest software version!!
The latest Integy chargers (16X5, 16x9) are hot items.

quasar pro
What would make me want to spend $100 more for the quasar pro....is it just for the discharge feature? I really can't justify it in my head to just be able to cycle the batteries and have a LCD readout. I am starting to lean toward the Ionic since the Integy seems to be a little out of my price range for the 16x9. I forgot that the millenium pro is just a DC charger so that kinda puts it out. Is the Ionic really that bad? It has discharge on it also for $130!! Anything else you guys have to sway my mind since no one seemed to have anything to say about the ionic? Thanks again for the replies!

The Ionic would be a decent charger, but if you could I would really go for the Millenium Pro.

The quasar pro is the only one that you listed that will discharge and cycle the packs. The 16x9 Integy will do this as well. If you just want to charge and want to save a teeny bit of money get the Millenium or the Ionic.

What about the 16x3 from Integy charges ,discharges ,cycles both nimh and nicads for about $130 and its AC/DC and compact charges up to 6.5 amps. I used the older 16x2 for 2 years no problems then up graded to the 16x5.
