Solution for the stock class problems

nahh...why? another will just spring up, haha.
You're right, Hebiki...it's all about agendas. I have a GTB, therefore we should have a spec class with only GTBs allowed. Or if you have an SPX, maybe we should limit it there.
In reality, I have two Tekins....no ban the technology!
let's go in circles some mo'

hi john, in theory this sounds good, but if FW went just novice and mod electric you know it wouldn't good over very well. fact of the matter, all those complaining that we need to let the newbie win stock so he doesn't quit... whats going to make him stick around when he gets beat even worse in mod. its going to be a even longer learning curve. most nitro guys just have a different attitude, thier willing to put in thier time to learn, electric guys want it handed to them. see you at the track
Simple solution, two TC classes, Novice, (beginner) and mod. Classes should be based on experience/skill level not motors. The qualifiers, already sort and put similar drivers together in their own heats based on their skill level. As your skill level improves you can add more motor to compete with the next higher skill group, if that is your motivation, with your ultimate goal being to compete with the top racers in the A main. If your comfort zone is to stay in the C or B main, then so be it. Nitro has got it right, the class is based on skill level.
Makes no sense to have a zillion TC classes, makes winning one of them pretty meaningless. Winning a full lower main has more meaning based on one's skill level, then winning a skimpy B or A main.

Your "cheater speed controls" of today can be compared to those of us that had the resources to buy all the gadgets to make fixed endbells go faster. Magnet Zappers, 4 different brush cutters, 6 different types of springs, and 4 different compounds of brushes. Not to mention a laptop and Fantom dyno as well. Were we cheating back then? No, nothing we did was against the rules, you just had to have more money to go fast in stock. Ask the battery guys and the 1200 SCR matching. Yes, we were faster than those that didn't have this technology.
I'd like to also add that I like the idea of getting away from the "name" of the class and go by motor number.

super stock is a dumb class, lets face it anyone who can drive a super stock car today can drive a mod car. ditch that class and move on.

I'm all for the "scrap the motor type classes". Best idea yet.
Mod = Run whatever you can hold onto. Silver cans for novice. You can still tweak a silver can if you want to cheat, but not to the extent of difference you can get with brushless.
Also, make the silver cans hand-out by the club, and return at the end of each meet. Got a slow motor? Bugger, better luck next time!

Here is a idea to the number of classes...
Have the Manufactures purchase the class, so if it is the Tekin RS, that is the Speedo you can run for that class. If Xray has a class, then that is only Xray can run. Let's get this so diluted so that we have one entry per class, so everyone wins... Isn't that we are really talking about, changing to benefit that person for that class?
