My D8 is 289 vs my TC5 goes for 350. Why do TC cost so much?
They cost so much cause we will pay that much for them.

The materials used in TC's are some times high quality. And less people buy TC's then your D8. Kinda hard to compare a D8 to a TC, compare a MBX6's price to a TC's price.

The MBX6 still cost less than a xray or tamiya.

Having rode/raced downhill and cross country mountainbikes for several years quitting that and going back to RC cars was great. Its cheap in comparison and you get a lot of use out of what you get without getting too broke on spares.

After selling my bikes I managed to get fully sorted with a TC , nitro buggy AND an electric buggy (including all the gear that you need to race comfortably as well as a lot you don't really need).

Best thing I've done in ages. love it

A few or more years ago i bought a schumacher Axis 2 for 250 (i think) and now you pay another 100 and get a much much better product (Mi4) in terms of finish and drivability. Not bad really if you take inflation into account since the Axis 2 days.

My 2 pence worth

-Bigger class size

-More competition since there are more people in the classes. Instead of drivers split into 17.5 13.5 and mod, just 21.5 and mod.

-Slow guy's have one class to them selves

-Slow people have something to aspire for (Making it to mod)

-Level of racers would go up, since mod will make the drivers have to work harder to be fast. Going fast in 13.5 is SO MUCH EASYER then mod.

-If somebody feel's that they can't drive mod, then they can use a mild mod. Since most of you are so sure that mod is not that much faster, then you have NO EXCUSES!

-Pro's can be found in one class. There should be no company that endorses a 17.5 driver. I don't see Mugen, Jammin, Ofna, Kyosho, Hot Bodies sponsoring novice class drivers in nitro off road. Do you? The car should speak for its self in mod if it will be good enough in 13.5 17.5 21.5 25.5 56.5 100.5, whatever you people run And if you guys wanna make it simple, "Slow" and "Fast" make simple class names.

I don't care how many times I hit the wall with my mod. Ive raced different forms of RC for way to long to try to race 17.5. Slow and embarrassing. I was delighted to see a PM from a racer at my local carpet track wanted to run mod tuesday night. I'm excited. Now my new motor order better show up (Don't disappoint me USPS)
You are confusing club racing with big races. At the big races,Snowbirds,IIC,Nationals 17.5 is a class. There is no recognition to novice or sportsman it is just a class. Look at the big drivers in 17.5 12th scale and TC. On a local level every track is different. Some tracks have a novice class and some do not. To force people to run mod just because they are winning in 17.5 or 13.5 is really stupid. So are you saying since Jimmy Johnson has won 4 championships in Nascar he should be forced to drive F1. You are not really making any sense. Not everyone wants to run mod or even have a interest to run mod.

Look at the piece count in a electric touring car. Then compare it to a nitro kit. The kit prices are around the same even though there are about 1/3 more parts in the nitro kit. The price per piece in the electric car is alot higher than their nitro cousins.

From amain
MP9 589
T3 519

MP9 has 10 times or more aluminum and comes with a body and clutch bell. You need a pinion and a body to finish the T3.

I never said I was just talking about big races! Ever! Sponsored drivers are in 17.5, even at club races. Letting pros run stock (Sponsored, Factory team, LHS employee, local fast guy) is really stupid

Jimmy Johnson is in the PREMIER class of Nascar. Or the MOD of touring, sort of speak.

I was thinking about the original MP9. The new one is not the quality of the old one.

Even compare parts, 8.25 for one T3 arm vs 10.25 for two MP9 arms.

But F1 cars are faster. A lot of tracks their club races are only 17.5. Trackside is Paul L home track they only run 17.5 so if he wants to race a club race thats what he runs.
