Still have a Nosram Tomahawk in my King Blackfoot, a Nosram International and recently got a Novak GT7. Would have gotten a Nosram Dominator/LRP Q2, but costs 30 bucks more......next time

LOL, close. Back when i was making my own cars in the early 90's I was trying to make them as small as possible and ESC's were not known (first one I had was a HUGE futaba) but I soldered the motor + wire to a push switch and had a servo cam activate the switch. Viola! 100% voltage from 1200 mAh cells directly to the motor. The thing was a rocket... No handling though.

Yes, good feel / control over the motor and it's almost impossible to kill. I even reverse connected my batt a couple of times, but it's still going strong !
