yea its real good. 3min for two Videos. Thanks Alot David.

I was getting like 155k per download....it was faster than 8 minutes.....was just a guess, cause I really didn't notice they were done.
To be honest, I don't know much about the t1......other than it costs a ton and my lazy ass brother in law does nothing with it like he was supposed to. I am gonna talk to shane and see if he wants to use it for a live video feed for paved nats.....

I'm downloading it at 230k Less than 4 mins each.

EddieO what was your lazy brother in law going to do with a T1 line anyhow? My guess is either porn or MCO.

David, awesome again, thanks for the posts.
The advantage of a T1 is in the uplink speed, the downlink is actually slower than most cable modems. They are real good for DoS attacks on crappy webservers. No doubt that's what he had in mind. haha

Shane has got it, cable modem uplinks are typically capped at 50k but a T1 can do 187k both ways (up and down). My server is connected to a 14gigabit connection through 6 providers. From server to server it will get in excess of 1500k easy. Honestly it is the processor usage of the httpd that I was worried about.
Eddie, is your T1 connection at the track? If so you could easily transfer the video stream to another server to stream to all the racers. You won't be able to feed the view from the T1 alone only to a host. You will take about 100k of constant uplink to transfer a decent video to a host that can move it to others.
I know Shane knows his network stuff so you are all in good hands. Let me know if I can help in anyway Shane and I do have an idea for you for some bandwidth to use for a special occasion.

Whatever I have its just as fast both ways....upload or download, bot rate the same if I go to any test site. Its faster from my desktop though which is hardwired, unlike my laptop which is wireless.....its in my house....
The orginal idea was to wireless internet out to my neighborhood because cable and DSL was not available. We set a few up in friends houses who lived by and it worked great....but comcast bought at&t.....and installed cable, so they all hooked up to it(dumb since I wasn't charging them). He also planned to sell hosting off it....
I could probably get the specs off the bill.....
Paved nats is outdoors in a hotel parking lot, so I doubt there will be fast internet....but I am sure we can figure something out to make it cool....
Anyone want to run a hosting business? Any other creative ideas....
Speediephatt, how did you know I played MCO?

I checked out your website.
Man I got a cousin that played that game 10 hours a day every day. He was crushed when they shut it down. Hes since not recovered yet he just sits there on the couch and stares off into space.

More than likely your cousin knows me or the website....it was the #1 website in the game and I was one of the most known players in the game along with Bigben.....I loved that game.....too bad I can't drive my RC Car as good as I was in MCO....
I looked into buying the rights with some of the old design team members, but EA wanted the world, my left nut, Brittney's virginity....and one night with Jessica Simpson for it....
