Is this oil light enough to soak bearings in?

TC3er;

If you are considering Motor Oil, use 'Mobil 1' synthetic oil.

Otherwise 'Trinity Royal Oil' (for Bearings) is what alot of us use.

I bought a 1L bottle back in err.. 1989!!
And still have quite a bit left...

In those days we used them in the shocks too, worked well for
both onroad and offroad shocks & very temperature stable.

My bottle says 5W-30, but I think the latest stocks say 0W-30.

Mobil-1 must have evolved!!

I use Mobil 1 0-30 as well. $5 a quart, and a quart will last forever as everybody else has mentioned.

There are a bunch of hardcore racing ultra lightweight oils out there. I scammed a quart of Synergy "0000" out of the reps at a NHRA national many years ago. Still using it. It is literally like water, but yet very slick, weird stuff.

If you can find a hardcore racing shop, it might be worth checking out Royal Purple, Redline, VP or one of the other real race oils for a super low viscosity oil.
