What do you think is the battery weight difference in grams in a 2000-3000mah to a 3300mah? I was gonna get some 2400's to start with a get used to the car and get it set up right but if the weight is off i will just get 3300's

i was gonna get some 2400's just to play with...found some for 16 bucks...im not gonna set car up with the 2400's and have to redo it for a different weight battery

Mathced 2400's still are fine for qualifiers. I run smc 2400's for qualifiers use a zx 3300's for the main. I charge my 2400's at 7amp charge with a 10-14mv/cell cutoff and keep them dumped out through the week(use solder on dischargers) and they work great. 3300's go for $30 a matched pack at www.zxracing.com , you won't find them cheaper. Even the unmatched packs else where cost more.

haha im talkin play as in get used to a touring car....jumping from gas truck to elec touring is a VERY big jump i hear....after a month or so i will start racing serious. I am a perfectionist and the car will be balaced within a tenth of a gram and i will practice with the car setup like it would be for racing. Thats just my style though and have been doing it for many many years in real racing

Brandon yout thinking is right on. The difference between the 3000 packs I have and the 3300 is about 40 grams. Fukuyama and Hurricane offer deals on 12 and 18 cell blocks that are pretty reaonable for practice packs. The Fukuyamas would be good enough to practice with and start racing with. If your going to spend money on cells you might as well buy something that you will get more use out of.

Thats a good deal. your right on track balance is very important. Youll notice the difference when you set tweak.

you might think this is cool.... on our real race car..2400lbs the weight was 49.8 front 50.2 rear and 50.1 left and 49.9

Brandon - You might be interested in this.. Longacre has a RC version of the Computerscales. Not cheap though, in the mid to high $800 range.
