Does anyone know a place where they have the new F1 from Corally (NGX I think) in stock? A good price would be errr... oh well, good! In Australia they are over 500$.

Their website lists some F1 car (they don't have the complete name, don't have pictures, don't have the manual, don't mention kit part number) but helpfully have a price. 560AU$. Thanks, but no, thanks. They want my bussiness they need to try harder. My guess is that is some old car they couldn't be bothered to sell for a better price even to get rid of it.

I have found sites in the US where they are listed at just under 300US$ with 269US$ the cheapest I could find. They're all out of stock though. The price sounds normal as the Tamiya F104 pro is about 215US$ in HK.

the reason that the new corally F1 is so much more than other f1's is because it is a TRUE PAN CAR design unlike other f1's. It is based off of the 12x design but a 10th scale version. http://www.corallyusa.com/F1.htm

Yes, that is what is making me curious, the fact that they have the short arm front suspension and the single plate chassis. Not sure how that fares compared to the "classic" F1 designs, but am willing to test. The rear pod is very similar to other F1 designs, so I don't think there is any significant advantage to gain there.

I know from experience that the pan car style F1's DO handle better than traditional F1 chassis. They can carry more corner speed and the larger tires also give you better handling and traction.

Also you will be able to adjust more on this type of chassis than any other.
