I like being able to put the servo saver as low a possible. Car tweeks less, and is more consistant corner to corner.
well now i'm confused, what does the chassis have to do with servo saver height?

I believe the carpet chassis has an opening below the servo saver to allow it to sit below the upper chassis line.

I am considering getting a MI3 for asphalt rubber racing this season. I also do carpet rubber racing. What changes need to be made back and forth to get the car setup from asphalt to carpet and vice versa?

I currently run a TC5 with lipos and a 13.5 BL.

Looks like McGoo landed himself BQ with the Mi3 at Carpet Nationals in Omaha; .3 outta the A! Not to mention Steve "Magic" Marker near the top of the B as well in 13.5 rubber. If I am not mistaken both were running the SP GT!

Team Schui in effect!

Thanks Heavy

Hey Josh,

I have a modified set-up for a low grip bumpy track, but its with 6cells,

I'm still testing a 5cell set-up and i'm not confident on writing it down on paper yet.

hi guys
I 'm just wondering how important is the side to side chassis balance cos im running lipo with no added weight ....
also just bought an 5 cell chassis gonna use with lipo does it makes any negative effect over 6 cell chassis (current 6 cell chassis really in bad cond. thats why i've got near new 5 cell chassis on flebay )
cheers

Attachment 320783

Try this setup. I think it will be a good starting point.
You might want to add some more rear toe.

6 weeks ago I would have said you gotta have it balenced. I spent a lot of time adding lead in all the right spots to get my Mi3 balanced with an Orion 4800. It ended up being about120 g over weight though. So when I bought my core batteries I just put them in aligned with the edge of the chassis (I couldn't so this with the Orion because of the outputs on the batery) I know I am heavy by a lot on the motor side, but I can't realy feel it on the track. It may jsut be I am not a precise enough driver to feel it, and I used to be able to feel it all the time if I had the car unbalanced. I say try it without the weight first and ten ad weight and see which way feels better or is faster. I left the weight off so I could get down to minimum and I am a couple tenths faster too now. Could ust be the CORE.
