The spool is one piece. If it breaks you get another spool. The alloy part is not available separately. If it were it would cost the same as a complete spool. Schumacher pretty much gives away the pulley when you buy a complete spool.

adrianM i ahve folowed your set up that u gave me. just one problem that i am not sure about y it is hapening, on the shocks to get the ride hight (i have up'ed it to 5.5 and 6 mm wer as on the set up sheet its 4.5, 5 mm) and to get the ride hight right i cannot get all the adjusters on the shocks the same on the front left to right and on the back left to right. is this just because the battery side waighs more??
with it being like this the springs are not the lame tention. at the start? and wen off the floor ther not under any preload? can any 1 help. o yeah all the droop is the same its not that btw. thanks alot bob

This can happen for a couple of reasons.

1. The chassis may be tweaked. The best way to check this is with the blocks from a droop gauge set. Put the blocks on a known, dead flat surface and place the car on the blocks so the chassis is directly on the blocks and not being lifted by any screw heads. The car should sit flat on the blocks. If you push on any corner of the chassis ands hear a tick that corner is curled up. Loosen all the top deck screws and the chassis should flatten out. Tighten them up while pushing down on the top deck and the car should stay flat.

2. Camber differences on the wheels. If you set you car to 1.5deg camber and 5mm ride height then change the camber to 1deg you ride height will increase. If you set ride height first then adjust camber your tweak will be affected. I always set camber first check ride height ands re check camber.

3. The front and rear suspensions are interrelated on all independent suspension cars. If you have a lot of preload on one rear corner you will have an imbalance in the front too. I always screw down the threaded collars all the way and turn them up equal #'s of turns left to right per each end of the car to start setting up a car.

The Mi2 is almost always equal in tweak left to right. My car never needs more than a half turn on any given collar to make it tweak properly on an MIP Tweak station.

Kid,

Try Dave Guyatt (heavy D) at http://www.actionrc.com.au

His prices are cheaper than what you've quoted - though he is in Brisbane so you will have to pay for postage. But I don't think it will be much considering the size and weight of the bits you want.

I have found a big improvement in my car since i switched to Tamiya shocks.
I ran 19T class in our Winter Cup meeting, and whilst i didn't make the A-Main (there was just over a second seperating 6th to 10th), I found myself in 10th place.

I won the B-final in a time that would've put me in the "A" (a little too late ) and the car was working the best it's ever been
