His car was dialed and his driving was on. He just had some tough luck with traffic or else I think he could have given Greg a run for his money. He was running Greg down in one of the mains and hit a lapper that was on it's lid in the middle of the lane. Things like that happend to both of us.

PW- Just wondering if you got my set up sheet I faxed to you?
Also forgot to tell you what made a difference in the last round of mains was what sauce I used.

Mi2 upper deck problems
Hey guys, has anyone developed slop in the holes in the upper deck where the flat head steering screw goes into it? The side closest to the servo, the screw head rotates in the upper deck and has reamed out the hole its in. This is magnified at the front left hub. Do I need to replace the top deck, or has someone come up with a fix?

apply some C.A to a cotton bud, and seal the carbon, as you would the edge of the chassis. the glue will fill it out a little, and remove the slop...dont get it too tight, as it may add force to the topdeck and cause tweak

if all testing goes well,i will have them available within 2 weeks.i made a few changes on this chassis over the stock set up that i need to test.i moved the batteries extremely close to the centerline of the car.if all goes as planned,it will let the motor and electronics counterbalance the battery weight very well.being that the motor is off center on this car really helps this out.i also made the chassis 5/8 inch more narrow than stock to eliminate chassis drag.the changes to the top deck were visually noticable.the chassis is made from 2.5mm quasi isotropic carbon fiber(fibers are layed at 0,90,and 45 degrees)for excelent torsional strength.this made the car extremely rigid.flex can be added by using the stock deck if desired.i will keep you posted on test results.

love teh motor milling, and the topdeck!...
how thick is the topdeck?..looks good for foam tires, nice and stiff.

Must admit that chassis looks cool. Moving the cells as far in as poss is a good idea, then making the chassis as narrow as possible. I much prfer the balence of the car when running like that.
Agree with Gav, the unter motor milling is good, have you lowered the motor mount as well???

the upper and lower deck are 2.5 mm.the differences are the batt location is as close as possible to the centerline and moved forward(still need to test the forward position, its location may change from front to rear),chassis is much thinner,i removed some through pockets and replaced with partial pockets, and i smoothed the corners of the chassis so it was not so squared off.the upper brace is closed in the front and rear to eliminate bulkhead compression or pinching that causes tweak.here is a front side pic of the car.there is a funny glare on the upper brace pocket in the pic that i cant explain.in person you can not see it.

Mi2 Chassis Price
ProTc3, Already own one of your Xray chassis kits, and am very impressed with the quality; Glad to see you're working on the Mi2. Wondering about estimated price and whether or not you are going to offer color options or just black? Thanks
