Actually we didn't switch to the HPI springs because of their stiffness, we switched because they are more progressive. The HPI springs have more coils in them than the Schuie springs do. Basically it will make the car less aggressive and easier to drive. I ran HPI silver and gold on my car, 1 step up from pink and blue.

Schu UK is out of stock and has discontinued them. We (Paul and I) asked Robin to make a run of 1000pcs for the Dirt oval market and he said no. I would call Shawn and have him lean on Robin some

General Mi3 set up question . . .

I and others feel my foam car is rolling (side to side) too much. I have tried a couple ideas and haven't come across anything that has remedied the roll. I figured I'd throw it out to y'all just to hear your ideas. if you have a basic explanation as why a particular change would limit roll please feel free to include it.

I am running McGoo's vegas set up posted earlier with the following changes

DNA Body( not mohawk)
Stock Chassis (not the 2.5)
Next shorter track rod moved forward one position
Rear shocks moved out one hole on the tower
Stiff topdeck (not the carpet top deck)
2.5 * camber (not 2.2*)

I tried every possible tire size between 58 mm and 54 mm. My car is actually traction rolling with all but the smallest of small tires that actually push because the outter edge is worn to the plastic on the pro 53's. I am thinking my problem has something to do with execution in one of the more ambigious areas of set up such as diff tension, shock rebound or the likes. Don't be shy though, I ain't afraid to learn!

I assume your running magenta all the way around? if so,how much of the front tire are you saucing?..the more flexible topdeck and chassis isnt helping the traction rolling issue either...are you using the carpet shock towers?...I would inspect the edges(sidewall) of the tires, make sure they are nice and round, also make sure the caster blocks are not on backwards, excessive droop can also cause traction roll, you want about 1-2.5mm uptravel in the front and 2-4mm uptravel in the rear, never much more, shock oil is 50wt up front correct?..with around 50-80% rebound

Quickie ???- Does anyone run a DNA1 on the rug?? What about @ the iiC?? I rather enjoy my MI3 (with an slightly altered Chris G. setup) using the DNA1. Has just a hint of push but really nimble behaving....

Jaybee,

I think most stock and 19T guys were running the mohawk. I saw a few DNA's out there, but the consesus seemed to be the Parma.

From my experience the DNA has more downforce and can keep the car stuck a bit more (that's why you will see more DNA's in mod). The Mohawk seemed to free up the rear end for me. I have played with both and I keep coming back to the Mohawk. I am gonna try out the DNA today to see how it compares....

Were both leaning on Robin pretty hard on the springs, as for your "last set" Paul, we found about 3 more pairs around the shop

I usually run a DNA1 on carpet with a Parma Alfa wing. That alows the car to "free up" alittle. The DNA1 just has more steering.
